No referral is needed for private appointments. However, if you’re claiming through Medicare, DVA, TAC, or WorkCover, a referral is required.
Yes — most private health funds cover EP and physio, check with your insurance provider prior to the appointment. Medicare rebates are available with a valid Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan from your GP.
We provide Exercise Physiology and Strength and Conditioning services. These include 1:1 guidance, group options, and off-site field rehabilitation and conditioning for athletes.
We’re passionate about getting you the outcome that you came to us with! During the initial appointment, our main purpose is that you walk away with a plan on how to get there. We do this by listening to your needs and understanding your health history, including previous and current injuries or conditions. We work through an elaborate physical assesment which may touch on flexibility, mobility, strength, power, and movement (motor control). We will send you a treatment plan on the best path forward to achieving your outcome from here. Often options will be to complete your training or rehab in with us through either groups or 1:1 with our clinician or coach, alternatively taking on our satellite membership where we guide you to complete your exercise program from home, or at another facility.
We offer athlete, rehab, and EP memberships. These include gym access, structured programming, supervised timeslots and ongoing support — all membership-based, no casual visits.
Members complete their programs independently during staffed hours after induction. Our team is around to guide and support as needed during supervised hours.
Life happens! Whether you’re heading off on holiday or feeling under the weather, we are happy to pause your membership at any time. We also offer a ‘cancel anytime’ policy for total peace of mind. Please note that once a membership is cancelled, you will lose access to your personalized programming via the app.
The Difference: Physiotherapy vs. Exercise Physiology
While both are university-qualified health professionals, their “lens” on your recovery is different. A simple way to look at it is: Physios get you moving, and EPs keep you moving (and make you stronger).
Physiotherapy: The Acute & Diagnostic Phase
Our Physiotherapists are the first line of defense. They specialize in diagnosis and the acute stage of an injury (the first 0–6 weeks).
- Focus: Reducing pain, restoring joint range of motion, and settling inflammation.
- Tools: Clinical diagnosis, manual therapy (massage, joint mobilization), taping, and early-stage corrective exercises.
- The Goal: To move you from “pain and dysfunction” to “safe, basic movement.”
Exercise Physiology: The Functional & Performance Phase
Our Exercise Physiologists (EPs) take the baton once the initial pain is managed. They specialize in chronic disease management, long-term rehabilitation, and Strength & Conditioning.
- Focus: Building tissue resilience, correcting long-term movement patterns, and improving overall physical capacity.
- Tools: Data-driven resistance training, metabolic conditioning, and using VALD technology to quantify strength and power.
- The Goal: To move you from “safe movement” to “peak performance and long-term health.”
At Olympus Lifestyle Co, you don’t have to choose between one or the other—you get the benefit of both. We operate with a “shared care” model:
- The Handover: As your Physio helps you regain pain-free movement, they collaborate with our EP to design a transition plan.
- The Integration: You might see a Physio on Monday for manual therapy to keep a joint mobile, and see an EP on Thursday on the ForceDecks to build the strength needed to support that joint.
- The Result: This “closed-loop” communication ensures nothing is missed. The Physio ensures the injury is safe to load, and the EP ensures you are loading it enough to actually get better and stay better.
“A Physio provides the blueprint for recovery; an EP provides the bricks and mortar to build the result”
Yes, we absolutely do. At PB Performance + Health, we don’t believe in “guessing” when it comes to your body. We offer comprehensive Injury & Performance Screening designed for everyone from the weekend warrior to the elite athlete.
While a traditional screen might involve a few stretches and a balance test, our facility uses the VALD Technology Suite to provide an objective “blueprint” of how your body moves, absorbs force, and produces power.
Our screening process is broken down into three key pillars:
- Injury Risk Profiling
We use the VALD ForceDecks and DynaMo to identify “red flags” before they become injuries.
- Symmetry Analysis: We measure side-to-side strength deficits. If one leg is 20% weaker than the other, it’s often a silent predictor of future strain.
- Tissue Resilience: We test the capacity of specific tendons and muscles (like the hamstrings or adductors) to ensure they can handle the “braking forces” required in your sport.
- Performance Benchmarking
We compare your data against athletic norms for your specific age and sport.
- Explosive Power: Measuring how high and how fast you can jump.
- Force Development: How quickly can you “turn on” your muscles? This is the difference between being fast and being elite.
- Reactive Strength: Testing how well your body uses its “spring” mechanism during running and landing.
- The “Gap Analysis” Report
Following your screen, you receive a detailed report. We sit down with you to highlight the “gap” between where your body is now and where it needs to be to reach your goals. This data then forms the exact foundation of your Exercise Physiology or Strength & Conditioning program.
- Athletes: Pre-season “baselining” to track progress and prevent mid-season burnout.
- Return-to-Sport: Objective testing to ensure a surgically repaired limb (like an ACL) is truly ready for contact.
- General Population: Identifying why that “niggle” keeps coming back every time you start walking or running again.

The PB Satellite Membership is designed for the self-motivated individual who demands elite-level programming but needs the flexibility to train in their own space—whether that’s at home, traveling, or a local gym.
What’s Included:
- Bespoke 6-Week Programming: A personalized training block built specifically for your injury history, goals, and available equipment.
- Facility Access (Week 1): Kick off every new block with full access to our facility during Supervised sessions. This ensures 100% confidence in your form before you head out on your own.
- The 2-Week Calibration: A dedicated check-in from your clinician or coach to troubleshoot movements and make “micro-adjustments” to your program.
